Hi, I am Click

Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating these wonderful tours. Ever since I've had to move away from San Francisco, I've been terribly homesick, and your virtual tours made me feel like I was there again. I am incredibly impressed with the effort that went into creating these tours, and I hope that you make more soon.

I am so impressed of your website but I cannot find what I want. I would like to know if I can bring my own bike and if there is a map for bike trails or whatever. i would really appreciate it very much if you can give me more information about my interests. Thank your very much and more power.

-- Dear Jim and Rebecca, bring your bike to San Francisco! You can take a bake almost anywhere. You can go all around San Francisco perimeter: the ocean side, the strait side, and the Bay side. Any map is good. Cross Golden Gate Bridge and you are in the wilderness!

I love your site and the awesome virtual tour of San Francisco. I recently visited and had a great time. Viewing the city again from my computer made me reminisce all the fun. I wished I would've found your site prior to going, but at least now I can view "moving pictures" of the places I visited. I had a good chuckle after I found the cross street where I got a parking ticket. Thanks for the memories; great site!!!

OMG, best Pictures ever. Plus, it is so fun to tour; you can go wherever you want, or almost. 10/10!!!!! Keep going the good work! It reminds me of my city, New-York but way nicer; hills, cable cars, etc. You should do the same with NYC and Chicago, if you dont have it) Many thanks.

Hi, this is an amazing virtual tour of the rock. Congratulations for a job nice done... I used your virtual tour to get a better look at the layout and buildings of the rock for my "map". I'm a mapper (SOF2) and I'm currently building a playable multiplayer-map for this game. It should be a "near-to-equal" groundplan with all of the same structures and buildings. Thx for your indirect help in this way.

What gorgeous photos, and I supect, what a huge labor of love to put them together and make them flow! I go to SF with my 16 year old next week and I've been reading the guidebooks, plotting possible walks, weighing restaurant reviews until it was all expanding & collapsing to some jumble of words. -- Well, here they are

Actually, I happened upon this site by accident. Am bringing my girlfriend to SF next week, and was searching for places to see off the beaten path (it's the first time she's been west of Fallingwater, PA.) This is a great site; I've actually reccommended it to a friend in Arlington, VA who's job it is to find ways to encourage people to walk, instead of driving. (Arlington has kind of a "it takes a village" potential, but that potential's not quite grounded in all its residents yet.) Anyway, my thought is this -- you have these tours, what if you make it open to neighborhoods and neighbors to submit their own tours? (Everyone got a digital camera for Christmas, right?!) On a site, you could tour around blocks, you might also enter someone's home and witness a couple's wedding photos, baby pictures, anything and everything (edited of course, by *someone* -- potentially an arduous task ...) But, it could become something like a real-life Simms, used to attract residents to neighborhoods, help people to relate within these neighborhoods, whatever. Anyway, there's my comment. Enjoy!
Kees <keesfs@nyc.rr.com>
NYC, NY US - Monday, January 17, 2005 at 17:00:04 (CST)
-- Dear Kees, this is an excellent idea! Anyone who would like to make a tour of their neighborhood is welcome to do so. I will process the pictures, make a virtual tour, put them on internet with appropriate credentials, and link them to other tours so they can fit nicely together. As a guideline check how the pictures on this site a taken - they should flow into each other. Send me your pictures, a description how they are linked together, and text notes.
Thank you, Click.

Help! I can't remember the famous area where the hippie "movement" was so strong. It's a place in the NW part of the city near the ocean. I almost have it but can't remember. It was early 50's; by the 70's it was essentially over. Thanks.

-- The place of hippie movement. This is a small collection of links. WebMaster

I was looking for Justin Herman Plaza. It never turned up as a photo. I couldn't find it in the search engines quickly either. I knew Mr. Justin Herman (who should be Dr.), - an honorable man with the highest of reputations of city redevelopers in America. I helped arrange the first video-conference, with him as one of the speakers, across the Pacific Ocean, with the help of the FCC and ABC. No need for an email, but this is a way to check/improve your site. I'll leave my email info in case some one wishes further communication.

Thanx, your site has redeemed me -- partially! I lived in the bay area for six months in 1999 and NEVER ONCE made an excursion into SanFran [except the airport, which hardly counts..]. Incidentally I've also traveled to several tropical Pacific locales, but only in the summer [cheap fares!] returning to Cleve. Ohio just in time fer our awful autumns/winters, hence my, er, name above. So, enjoyed the virtual tour; only improvement I can think of is perhaps captioning the location/ street names of where each photo-site is!

To Whom This May Concern: I thought that the sample of the virtual tour of the Golden Gate Bridge was great! I have to do a project on it in Math, and build a 3-D model of the bridge, and though I'm just now finding out about this tour thing, it is helping me A LOT! This is pretty great! There is going to be a whole lot of detail in my model now; thanks to you all! Ex: instead of pencils draping string across for the suspension part, I can use more sturdy materials! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!! -Can't strees it enough!

Dear visitor. This is not a picture holding site. This site contains Virtual Walking Tours. All of them are present at the front page. You can find the list of pictures available on the CD here.

Hi Everybody, Watching these pics I really felt like I was walking throught the city and brought back some nice memories. I moved away from the Bay 5 years ago and was lucky to spent also 5 wonderful years there and just now realize how beautiful SF is and how I kept the beauty and the people in my heart just the way I`ve seen it. You can really say that I left my heart in San Francisco and had a hard time getting over it leaving such a wonderful and warm place. Thanx Guys.

I was born in San Francisco General Hospital in 1943. I have many fond memories of growing up and playing around San Francisco. While most of the pictures don't seem to cover my old neighnorhood, the Mission District, Portreo and Daly City, most of them are very familiar. Quality is good. I would like to see an index so we could look up pictures by neighborhoods or streets. Maybe even a map we could click on and pictures of that area would come up. Thanks again for wonderful CD full good San Francisco pictures. Dan Ferguson Lynnwood, WA

This is a new Guestbook. We did not have one for a while. Below you will find some entries from a very old guestbook. I feel obliged to these people to preserve what they say.

OUTSTANDING ! The most entertaining site I have yet to see. And it deals with my favorite - The City by the Bay. Many thanks.

maybe you should have a tour of hunters point because even tho ya'll want to hide them in that little corner people have a right to know about the ghetto so they don't wander off in the wrong neighborhood don't just show the nice areas show all frisco

This is a great tour I loved every moment of it!

having been a resident of san francisco in the early 80's(81-86)and now a visitor to the city every 2-3 years i find this a fantastic way to re-visit on line and see old haunts again online. i am seriously thinking about adding this cd-rom to my collection of san francisco memorabilia. thanks!!!
