• Started at the south end of the bridge , now we are across the Golden Gate straight from San Francisco at the north end of the bridge. Not very close. Here on a steep rock the batteries protecting the city are. We are almost on top, just a few steps..
• Wow! Here you can see the bridge in all details. It does not feel monstrously large, but delicate almost fragile. Until you look closer at cars..
• Turn around. This is the battery Spencer. It was obsolete in 1943, but still stands. Moving through more modern and old constructions you reach Conzelman Road.
• Moving along the road do not forget to turn around to enjoy views. This road goes to the Hawk Hill.
