3.Note C of all 3 octaves locations are on the PAD below. It is a root note and on PADs a root note is marked with 1. Fret 8 deserves to be called a C-fret: it has two Cs in two-octave interval, and another C is nearby. All notes on the fret 8 belong to C blues scale.

This pattern is the same for other notes C, D, E, F, G, A, B in all octaves. Knowing positions of the note C inside the general pattern allows easy calculation of the position of other notes along the strings, but the calculation is not efficient enough. You can find "Note PADs" in the Addendum 2 of the book. What is the very important in learning from these diagrams is the octave relation between notes. It connects bass notes and chords as explained in paragraph 14 (not presented on internet).
