- Sunny winter day in San Francisco. At the end of the Hyde Street there is a place which I think is the best part of San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf: Hyde Street Pier. The Pier is a part of the Maritime National Historical Park. There are plenty of old ships around: sailing ship Balclutha, scow schooner Alma, ferry Eureka, tug boats Hercules and Eppleton Hall. It is all surrounded by beautiful views of Golden Gate Bridge, the bay, San Francisco, Alcatraz. |

Click on a picture below to start the tour from that location (use small images is for slow connections): |
Hyde Street goes down to the pier. Cable Cars are going along to their turntable at the end. Ghirardelli Square and the Aquatic Park are nearby. |
Jump right to the Balclutha a sailing ship built in 1886. There is plenty of pictures inside to feel yourself in those times. |
Here is the entry to the several pictures panorama of Aquatic Park located nearby. |
From the top of the hill, Lombard crooked Street, there are views of the italian quarter of the city with the Coit Tower, Bay Bridge, Alcatraz, Yerba Buena and Treasure islands. |
