What is the difference between TCL and Perl ( as well as C++ and Java )? -- Answer. The article interprets the result of an interesting programming experiment. It talks a lot that scripting languages such as Perl and Tcl not very much worse than C++ and Java. However at the end there is a shocking surprise: All scripting languages programmers used associative arrays built in their languages, while none of the 20 C++ and Java programmers used their available library routines (STL in C++). They programmed dictionaries by hand ! No wonder Java has shown the worst result...
